Do you want to be central to ensuring governance and structure in a groundbreaking project that prepares Copenhagen’s S-network for an automated operation in the future? Take part in a unique journey where your efforts as a Project Office Lead will be critical to both the success of the project and the future of passenger experiences. An automated future DSB is currently making significant investments in the railway of the future, and we are already well underway with the acquisition of new environmentally friendly electric train sets, efficient electric locomotives, and large modern workshops.
On top of that, we are working on transforming the S-network into a fully automated system. All of this sounds easier than it is – but it’s fun and rewarding! Right now, we are looking for an experienced Project Office Lead, who can take responsibility for governance and support effective project management in the Supporting Systems project in the Future S-network programme.
Organizationally, you will be part of our department of project consultants. We are 17 colleagues with shared professional experience in project support and PMO disciplines working across various projects in DSB. We gather to share knowledge, inspire each other, and enjoy lunch together.
What is SuSy? Supporting Systems (SuSy) is a turnkey project with 40 colleagues, who will acquire, design, build and implement a wide range of systems to support future driverless operation of Copenhagen S-network. In our project you will meet many professional disciplines as we e.g. manage the implementation of operational systems, as well as physical installations at stations and prepare for handover to daily operation to secure good passenger experience.
We are currently finalizing a tender phase, and late summer we step into the design phase together with our chosen supplier. About the job We are looking for an experienced Project Office Lead to help us govern the SuSy project. You will manage the PMO team of six colleagues, and report to the lead project manager.
Your team will support the management of the project, and you will be responsible for ensuring that we internally follow our FS programme governance and assisting in setting up and following the governance towards the supplier. “In this job, you will be challenged to find solutions quickly, being able to coordinate resources to focus on tasks and effectively communicate with both the SuSy team as well as with others within the FS Programme. ou will be given the opportunity to grow your leading skills on this complex and challenging project working with several different stakeholders such as suppliers, other project teams, programme support and management, and base organization.” Says Kristina, interim Project Office Lead This includes tasks like Supporting and leading the PMO team in implementing and optimizing governance processes, preparing presentations, notes and moms etc. Following up on project and activity plans Management of issue, action and decision logs Assisting and supporting project manager and team leads, including planning and managing team lead and project meetings. What qualifications does the job require?

We imagine that you will come with Experience as a PMO Lead/Project Office Lead on at least one large project, preferably within a programme, and experience as a team lead A master’s degree within a relevant academic field In-depth knowledge of project management methods such as Prince 2 or IPMA and highly experienced user of PowerPoint, Excel and Word – experience with SharePoint is an advantage Fluent in both written and spoken Danish and English What does DSB offer?
