Postdoc of Environmental Microbiology

The postdoc will be employed for 18 months and will be working on microbial community analysis of PFAS-contaminated sites in Denmark, using 16S rRNA amplicon sequencing. The postdoc will also perform state-of-the-art mobilomic sequencing and other genomic analyses to investigate the stress response of fluoride and PFAS on microbial strains. Applicants should have prior experience with environmental microbiology, molecular techniques, and preferably knowledge of bioremediation and the role of xenobiotics in the environment.

The postdoc’s duties will include research within the project as well as teaching. The post may also include performance of other duties, such as supervision of students. Further information on the Department is linked at http://www.science.ku.dk/english/about-the-faculty/organisation/.
